Overdrive Download Center (BCLS website)
Q: I checked this ebook out while logged into the BCLS Overdrive Download Center, but when I click on the maroon Download button, nothing happens. How do I download my book so I can read it?
A: There is a very good chance that your web browser is outdated or unable to properly show you our Download Center. Some older browsers (an older version of Internet Explorer or a Kindle's web browser, for example) just aren't up to the task. When your browser is working properly, a menu of options should appear when you click on the maroon Download button. You should be able to click a green check mark into the box next to your format choice and then click the finishing link that appears.

- If you are using a web browser on your Kindle (any type of Kindle) to check your ebook out, log out and then go log into the BCLS Download Center from a regular desktop or laptop computer. You will find it much easier physically to navigate. When you have checked out from our system, the Download button will send you to Amazon.com so that your borrowed item will be able to be delivered to your Kindle. When you see the Thank You message, you may then go back to your Kindle and allow your book to Sync (load).
- If you are on your computer using an old version of Internet Explorer, you will need to either update it to the new version or you may download and install a different, free browser. I recommend Mozilla Firefox. It has no problem displaying your ebook account and it is an easy to use, fast, stable browser.
